Landonedge Speed Skating

Skating with power + efficiency requires the proper combination of body positioning, blade edges, and stride direction to build and maintain speed on straights and through turns.

 

Landonedge Skating is founded on Todd Landon's 20+ years experience as a certified + chartered high performance speed skating coach.

 

Gain confidence to win more races with Landonedge Skating's expert instruction + feedback.

Summer Programs Curricula:

  • Starting – use body positioning, blade pressure, and stride direction to accelerate.

  • Straights – use body position, blade pressure, and stride direction to effectively push off the skate to build and maintain straight away .

  • Turns – use body position, blade pressure, and stride direction to effectively  push off the inside and outside skate to build and maintain speed through cross-overs.

  • Technical Evaluation - an introductory video assessment of technical competency and development.

Information

  • Skaters aged 11 and older on July 1, 2024 with 1 year of competitive experience and with 400m less than 1:00.00 or 500m less than 1:10.00.

  • Thursdays July 4th to August 29th (no session on August 8th)

  • Dryland - 7:00pm - 7:45pm

  • Ice - 8:00pm - 9:20pm

  • RBC Centre, Dartmouth

  • 8 Sessions

Fee:

  • Full Session - $350.00 (Use coupon code "SUMMER24" to save $30.00 by May 31st)

  • 4 Session Drop-In - $210.00 (registration available after April 30th)

  • Single Drop-In - $60.00 (registration available after April 30th)
